About DogStar Catering: DogStar is founded on the belief that food is one of the highest arts. In fact, it’s the only art that all Beings absolutely require. Thus, our mission for the last six years has been to deliver innovative, one-of-a-kind art in the form of cuisine. Our ever-evolving style incorporates many diverse and heterogeneous elements including global “world” fusion, molecular gastronomy, raw and slow food – all while honoring deep connections to traditional culinary techniques, ethnic tradition, seasonality, locality, and most of all, flavor. We realize that humanity and the earth at large are nearing a crisis point. Accordingly, we predominately utilize locally produced, farm-fresh ingredients and we make everything by hand and from scratch. We have two ongoing farm-chef partnerships in the Santa Cruz area and produce our own eggs. We use non-GMO, sustainably grown and Certified Organic produce and meat and encourage land stewardship, humane animal treatment, and soil husbandry.
